Wild Wild West Casino, Owned by Red Rock Resorts, Will be Demolished

The Wild Wild West Casino and Hotel near the Las Vegas Strip will close and be demolished, following three other Red Rock Resorts gaming properties. A spokesman for the company, Michael Britt, said the casino would be closed on September 7, and all employees who worked there would be offered employment at other properties owned by Station Casinos, Red Rock’s management subsidiary.

Casino Wild Wild West covers an area of 20 acres. Following its demolition, the site will be merged with the adjacent 80 acres for building a new project that has not yet been determined.

Interestingly, at the end of the 2000s, the company planned to build a resort complex on the territory of the Wild Wild West casino, but the Great Recession forced them to postpone these plans.

Red Rock has owned the Wild Wild West Casino since 1998. This is a relatively small facility that does not have table games, and the number of slot machines there is only 164. At the site, there is also a 260-room hotel operated by an outside partner, Day’s Inn.

It is worth recalling that in July, the company announced plans to demolish three of its facilities in Southern Nevada — Fiesta Rancho, Texas Station, and Fiesta Henderson. All three casinos were closed in March 2020 due to pandemic restrictions.

We would like to recall that AGA updated its Responsible Gaming Regulations Guide right before the start of RGEM.
