Michigan Online Gambling Revenue Up 8% In July

According to reports from tribal and commercial operators in Michigan, gross online gambling and betting revenue totaled $148.2 million in July, up 8% from $136.9 million in June.

In particular, revenues from online games alone rose 4% month-on-month to $126.6 million. According to OddsSeeker, Michigan’s iGaming market will continue to grow and could become the largest in the country.

The high growth rate of the Michigan market is due to the fact that it was legalized in 2019. Since then, the local gambling market has been steadily increasing its positive indicators. According to OddsSeeker Sports Editor Frank Weber, it may soon overtake the New Jersey market in terms of income and take a leading position in the US iGaming sector.

Following Weber’s release of Michigan’s first half results, the state reported a total of $757 million in online casino and poker site revenue for the first six months of the year. This is a very significant indicator, given the fact that the active development of the gambling industry in Michigan began only in January 2021.

It is also worth noting that online gambling in Michigan generated a total revenue of $798.9 million in the seven months of this year.

We would like to remind you that several non-profit organizations will receive $2 million from MGM Foundation.
