New Nebraska Grand Island Casino Resort CEO Appointed

Vince Fiala becomes general manager of the Grand Island Casino Resort in Nebraska. He is an experienced casino industry executive who previously served as the Assistant to the General Manager of Elite’s Grand Falls Casino Resort in Larchwood, Iowa, for seven years.

In general, Fiala has devoted 14 years of his work to the gambling industry and has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and finance sphere. Fiala will start working in his new role immediately. Under his leadership, the Grand Island Casino Resort team will be created. It will take part in preparations for the opening of a temporary casino.

Fiala’s appointment to the new position was commented on by the regional vice president of Grand Island Casino Resort, Sharon Haselhoff. She stressed that the promotion of employees on the career ladder had always been the company’s goal, and when the people you worked with took on a new challenge in the career, it was especially pleasant.

It is worth noting that the temporary facility is expected to open by the end of this year. However, it is necessary to wait for the approval of the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission. The casino will become a part of the existing Fonner Park complex, offering five gaming tables, 300 slot machines, and opportunities for grab-and-go dinner.

The construction of the permanent casino is scheduled to start in 2023, with estimated completion in 2025. Resort visitors will have access to 20 table games, 650 slot machines, and sportsbook services.
