Acquisition of The Mirage Hotel & Casino by Hard Rock International Is Over

The Mirage in Las Vegas has been successfully acquired by Hard Rock International from MGM Resorts International. This mega-resort located on The Strip and including 3,044 hotel rooms will continue operating under the current name until the end of renovation, and then will be rebranded to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. There are plans to make each aspect of the facility dramatically reimagined and that includes the addition of a new hotel tower, a guitar-shaped, adjacent to Las Vegas Boulevard.

Hard Rock International’s Chairman Jim Allen commented on the deal, noting that they’d like to officially welcome the 3,500 team members at The Mirage to the 45,000 global Hard Rock family and express their gratitude to the Nevada Gaming Control Board and the Nevada Gaming Commission for approving the gaming license for them to operate The Mirage Hotel & Casino. Allen added that they were excited to create an integrated resort on The Strip that would make that legendary entertainment community proud.

Hard Rock’s global loyalty program, Unity, is now available for all casino guests, who are able to earn points and get rewarded at 150+ Hard Rock casinos, hotels and cafes participating in different regions of the world.

The resort will continue operating as The Mirage for some period of time, which is not yet determined, and all reservations and group bookings will not be canceled or require any additional action from guests or group organizers. The same decision applies to all restaurant and entertainment options including Cirque Du Soleil’s The Beatles LOVE performances taking place through 2023.

According to HRI, all The Mirage team members will keep their jobs, while the details on the resort’s renovation and rebranding will be unveiled at the end of 2023.
